Let's Talk Labor

We made a change in Smackdab so that you can easily attach multiple labor products to an item, without needing to do an accessory workaround! I explain it all in this 3 minute video.

I forgot to mention in the video that when you push your Items from iPoint into Smackdab, the labor will come with it. We will grab the primary labor for the item and also any labor items in the accessories and bring those into Smackdab as the attached labor for that product. Easy peasy.

What are Products?

The Products module in Smackdab is the same idea as the Items Module in iPoint - it's the stuff you sell.

Smackdab Roadmap Update

As we hit the end of Q2, I though I'd share a status update of where we are with Smackdab. We are on track to have iPoint functionality replicated in Smackdab by the end of the year.

End of July

Proposals & Change Orders fully ready

End of Q3

Inventory (including purchasing)

Deferred Revenue Invoicing (RFP and Delivery Invoices)

End of Q4

Project Management (Projects, WOs, Tasks, Time tracking)

Preview of Advanced Custom Themes

We are working so that any possible custom template you had in iPoint is possible in Smackdab as well - AND making the process easier to build your theme. Update to Pushing Items from iPoint to Smackdab

I messed up in the video.

To push select items, you have to go into each item and push them one at a time.

The button in the Item List pushes everything over (not just what you searched for, like I said in the video).

We originally were going to to have it just push the items that are showing, but there is too much dependent data (Accessories, labor, chart of accounts, etc.) that it became a royal mess trying to do it. So the button in the List view pushes everything. I'll get that message clear in iPoint so there isn't any confusion moving forward.

Feedback Needed! How Should we Show Attachments (like spec sheets) on Proposals?

Hey All,

We need some advice. I've got 4 designs here of how we can show attachments (spec sheets, instruction manuals, etc) on the web proposals. Please comment on which is your favorite (A, B , C, or D).

I'd also love feedback on if you'd like the attachments to show on the Printed proposal. If so, would it be:

A hyperlink on the PDF
Included as a Separate Attachment on the email
Something else?
