Carmi Swift built a successful Audio/Visual business with Home Connections of Greater Kansas City, where she experienced the frustration of administrative tasks stealing time from customers and family.
Her next venture was inspired by watching her pet's veterinarian struggle with overwhelming paperwork. Recognizing a familiar problem, Carmi partnered with her son, Brooks, to create a solution for integrative animal practitioners. "We had successfully created a product for the AV industry already—and I knew we could do the same thing here."
iPoint Touch launched in 2015 after extensive testing and enthusiastic responses from veterinary complementary therapy professionals. Under Carmi's leadership, the company expanded with specialized modules, including chiropractic and TCVM acupuncture, and continues developing Massage Therapy and rehabilitation modules.
Beyond software, Carmi empowers the integrative veterinary community through educational webinars and business mentorship. "I want to truly make a difference for practitioners and the animals they serve," she explains. "Being an entrepreneur is a learned skill—and the learning never stops."
